Bohdan Bezdel

Bohdan Bezdel has over 30 years of experience in London's finance world, working with big names like The Prudential, Kleinwort Benson, and Hermes Pensions Management. He was a director at Hermes, looking after IT, HR, and more. Now retired from finance, he's focused on helping the community. He's been a director for Relate in London North East and Essex, showing his commitment to supporting people's wellbeing.

Bohdan has also been deeply involved in education, serving as a governor and then as Chair of Trustees. Now, he's the Chair of the Members at Schoolsforeverychild. His journey shows a mix of high-level financial skills and a strong desire to make a difference in education and community support.

Rizwana Awan

Riz has been at Citizens Advice Southend since 2014 and was an Advice Service Manager before she became a Chief Executive Officer in November 2019.

Prior to this Riz worked as a Legal Adviser to a number of firms in the City covering Civil Litigation, Insolvency and working with the Public Sector.

Riz represents us at various consortiums in the Southend area and is involved with a number of charities, communities and partnerships. Riz enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and friends and now is a member of Schoolsforeverychild.

Robert Skelton

 Rob is a retired Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with extensive experience in industry, commerce and the not for profit sector for over thirty years as a Finance and Commercial Director. He worked in the automotive sector and in a range of public and private family companies in the distribution of fast moving consumer goods and services. In the ten years prior to retirement he was the show director of the largest business exhibition in the United Kingdom involving commercial vehicles. Rob has a keen interest in all forms of sport but especially football and hockey.

Joanna Bamford

Joanna Bamford is a former Essex headteacher who also worked for the county as a school improvement advisor for many years. She now runs her own education advisory business, working with schools in many parts of the country as well as Essex. She enjoys walking, outdoor swimming and going to the gym, and loves spending time with her grandchildren. She also has a love of travel, especially in Asia.
