Purpose Statements

At Schools for Every Child we have created Purpose Statements for each subject area to celebrate their individuality and importance throughout our curriculum.

This approach is designed to foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that not only values the uniqueness of each subject but also aligns with our ethical obligation to nurture well-rounded, socially responsible individuals. It's a pioneering step towards redefining educational excellence, emphasizing the importance of ethical understanding and altruistic values as foundational elements of our vision and mission.

This initiative ensures that our educational framework not only meets the academic needs of our students but also cultivates a sense of global citizenship and ethical responsibility towards themselves and the wider community. While still allowing each school and community to design its own day-to-day teaching. based on the needs of the pupils they serve.

  • Collective Worship Our assemblies celebrate the diversity within our community, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages exploration and respects different beliefs. We aim to nurture brilliance by providing examples of wholesome ways to live in modern Britain and celebrating the achievements of our students, in line with Article 14 of the United Nations Rights of the Child. The 1996 Education Act states that collective worship should be ‘wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character’, but in recognition that many of our community are members of other faiths or do not have faith we base our assemblies on teaching that gives examples of wholesome ways to live in modern Britain. It is our aim that assembly is a time when the school community can: ▪ share common aims and values ▪ celebrate achievement and special times ▪ explore together the world in which we live ▪ develop a community spirit. This approach resonates with Article 14 of the United Nations Rights of the Child, which emphasises the freedom of thought, conscience, and religion.
